2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Studio Katia

Hello Coffee Lovers

We are so excited to be a part of Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop. Today we also start the countdown for the new release and as we are one of the Sponsors we wanted to share a few cards that use some our new Sweet Latte Stamp Set + Scripted Coffee Creative Die

This Stamp Set will be available for purchase this Friday December 15th, 2017.

Coffee is my favorite theme. I love coffee by all heart that’s why this card was easy to me. I used the frame die from Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames set to cut the workpiece. Stamped the elements from new set Sweet Latte using Memento inks and colored everything with alcohol markers – Touch Twin and Copic Sketch. Cut all necessary elements using coordinating dies.

Then I toned the workpiece with Crisp Dye Inks by Altenew – mint and orange. Next I took new die from Dotted Patterns – Loops and cut the place for shaker. I gave the volume to workpiece using cardboard and filled shaker with Pink Winter, Magic Mint, Iridescent Magnolia, 3MM Majestic Sequins, Majestic Fusion and Clear Dust.

Stuck the sheet of transparent plastic above and the cover of card. Using white embossing powder and Watermark Stamp Pad I stamped “Sweet many thanks” sentiment and cut on a contour with scissors. Then stuck all the elements on frame and in the middle I place the sentiment using washy tape. Such a simple card it turned out.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

STUDIO KATIA Interactive autumn card

Hello, everyone. Natalia is here and today I would like to show Autumn interactive card with foxes and pumpkins.

First I started to color with Touch Twin and Copic markers all the main heroes: foxes, which I stamped with the “Foxes” set, pumpkins with “Meowy Halloween” set and fur-trees from “Winter Kobi” set, using Memento inks. According to color palette of characters I got, I toned two pages with Distress inks with prevailing of yellow and pink colors. Then I used the die from “Dotted Patterns: Scallop Frame” set to cut of the frame and through window for shaker.

The most interesting part started – positioning. First my goal was to put characters so, that 1st and 2nd pages look self-sufficient separately or together. Here the leafs from “Together we bloom” set helped me a lot, they wonderfully completed the composition.

Now I want to tell about my shaker with Wow-effect.

The similar construction I’ve made once, but now the difficulty was in a lack of place for shaker. First I wanted to put leafs there, thinking it would be cool they to fall when I remove the plug, but then I realized that they can stuck in there. So I hung leafs on golden strings and fill the shaker with Gold Dust Seed Beads and Silver Dust Seed BeadsCrystal Rainbow FusionCrystal Clear Fusion.
On the photo below I intentionally didn’t cover “technical process” to show how this construction works (not difficult, actually).

If you would like to review my work closely – see the video.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

So, lets hop together by the blogs starting from Altenew and down the list you will find below and have fun.

And now, let me entroduce you my cards.

When I knew what kind of stamp set (Best Dad) will be the main in this Blog Hop, I realized that I will make interactive slider card and nothing else. But the thing that I couldn’t decide was how to decorate the front page. I considered a lot of options and spoiled a lot of paper before I found the suitable look. It’s the mirror frame and the imitation of bath tile around it. I am satisfied with my work because of its brevity and … interactivity)))

Here is the video of my card to show how it all works.

The second card, made with Extra Special and Wild Hibiscus stamp sets, came easy to me, like the flight of spring butterflies, that pictured on it.

Hope you have enjoyed watching. Now hop to the next blog. Bye-bye.

Special Offer (4/19-4/22):

A Year In Review Blog Hop

      Hello everyone!

Here is the happiest me with the great news! Altenew starts A Year In Review Blog Hop and I had a privilege to be one of participants. I am very proud to take part in such event, because for me Altenew is not just a company, producing stamps, it is the reason why I am occupied in cardmaking (in March, 2016 I fell in love with Golden Garden stamps and bought them immidietly). And looks like I am not gonna stop.
But let’s don’t waste time and go to the subject, we are all here for today.

I want to share some of my favourite works, made with Altenew’s stamps and dies. Let’s go!

I adore voluminous, tunnel cards and Peony Bouquet, which became essential for me. Until now it is my Number-One stamp set, though I have a lot of other sets.
Another card, made with Peony Bouquet, diametrically opposed by composition and style to previous card, but not less spectacular. I like the combination of purple and yellow-orange, they are harmonized one with another, imho.
One more card in this wonderfull palette, but with use of golden-black embossing and adding some volume. It’s my first card made with wonderful Beautiful day.
I like to make cards with transparent plastic elements, and if I have the idea, how to use it, nothing can stop me! This card have 2 title pages. First page made of transparent plastic with two frames in top and bottom and inscription “Welcome baby”. It covers second page with main image and inscription, hidden under bottom frame.  Here I used my favorite Peony bouquet and Sentiments & Quotes, which could be used on all occasions.
Majestic bloom is one of my favorite too, especially its leaves, which are very beautiful and could decorate every, even quite simple, card, making it wonderful and unique.
And this card has opened me a door to the world of interactive cards! In this picture you can see the card with double spinner. The background image made with Majestic bloom and Beautiful day. (click here to watch the video of this card)

This card is one of my favorite. And the reason is not only because it’s made with Peony bouquet. Exectly this card brought me victory in Altenew’s September Inspiration Challenge. Also I like voluminous window, shaker frame… and yes, I am crazy about shakers!))) (click here to watch the video of this card)

And again wonderful Peony bouquet  in 2-frontpage watercolor card. Upper page includes toning in the peony colors and peony itselves, lower page – spinner with watercolor peonies.
Here are shaker and another-kind double spinner, with the galaxy as the background. When I’ve made this card I found out, that I like to create cosmic projects, though I work using white color as a basic and it’s not according with the space theme. Making this card I realized that the galaxy background and transparent moon-shaped spinner-shaker are not enough, I have to invent something else. And I’ve invented! I’ve toned inner part with blue distress, stuck to the form, gathered 2 moons and placed the needle with silver embossing between them. One moon I’ve colored like the front page (galaxy) and another moon like inner blue-toned page. So not only upper spinner could turn, but the lower “immovable” at first sight element shows us the dark side of the moon when you only click on it. It’s quite fun, isn’t it? (click here to watch the video of this card)

I hope, you were interested, looking my cards 🙂

But that’s not the end. Reading is good, but you can also win some amazing prizes from Altenew and me!
